Ask questions"Initializing JS/TS Language Features" appears every time I open a JS file

Issue Type: <b>Bug</b>

On certain projects, whenever I open a JS or TS file, I get the message "Initializing JS/TS Language Features". Often this is accompanied by a CPU spike.

The attached tsserver.log file is from a session where I turned on "verbose" logging, made sure no Code Helper processes were running, and started vscode with --disable-extensions. I removed sensitive portions (it would be great if someone could undo #75748 and restore the ability to upload logs privately).

In this session, I opened a JS file, waited for the "initializing" message to disappear, then closed the file and opened another. I repeated this a few times. The "initializing" message reappeared three or four times.

Answer questions jacobweber

Hi @mjbvz -- thanks for the update. However, I tried running today's Insiders build on the same project, with extensions disabled, and continued to see this behavior. I don't see any of the "Exception on executing command" messages, however.

It's time-consuming to clean up the log file for posting publicly -- is there anywhere I can email it?
