When I first cloned this, I couldn't activate it as an extension because its directory name doesn't end in .novaextension. Being new to Nova extension development, this took me awhile to figure out. That hurdle could be eliminated if the GitHub repo were renamed to something like clojure.novaextension.

OK, so I kind of went down the rabbit hole here. I totally understand if you'd rather I just publish my own extension rather than merging this. But if you want it, here it is.
I kept playing around with this to learn about Nova extensions and make it work better with my favorite language. Teaching an editor how to parse a Lisp while also not just treating it as pure homoiconic data is fun (i.e. on the one hand, they're all just lists; on the other hand, it's nice to highlight (defn foo ...) as special and allow navigating to instances of / definition of foo).
I also renamed a few things to better follow Nova's idioms as far as I could tell.
Anyway, this now has:
- Most of clojure.core as keywords
- Highlighting and navigation to definitions of variables (from
(def bar ...)forms) and functions (from(defn baz ...)forms). - Treats lists as blocks for editor features like folding.
- A few other miscellaneous things
- Various known and unknown bugs and many, many shortcomings (e.g. no understanding of function arguments in
(defn foo [arg1 arg2] ...)forms.

Also applies a fix for deep source files deps in make that I'm still shocked is necessary but also see lots of examples that get it wrong. Shelling out to something like find is the only thing that has worked consistently for me.

OK, everything seems to be coming together on this. The ledger tests are all passing with this version pulled in. I still need to do a few more tests on my end but this is close enough to start reviewing.
In general you can kind of mentally substitute make for lein in these conversions (e.g. make test instead of lein test). If you anything missing that you used to be able to do, let me know. I didn't try to bring everything over all at once, so there will likely be some things missing.

New JDK version added. I also gave the README a refresh pass. I also snuck in a small enhancement that pulls upstream images before building on them. I noticed that sometimes builds would be different on my local machine if I had an outdated upstream openjdk image already cached. This helps ensure (but does not guarantee) that my local builds are the same as what will get built on the Docker image infrastructure.
