I love feature requests - costs nothing to wish :-)

1. Change tabs, would naturally use the left and right arrows - but you already use bubbletea - which has mouse support, which I think would be good if you went down tabs route
2. Auto cycling of tabs would also be good on a timer
3. for rendering tabs - The bubbletea authors also make https://github.com/charmbracelet/lipgloss

It would be useful to just print the current portfolio value to use that information for historical information or to plot the value on a graph. cheers!

Describe the bug While prices and stats are updating (refresh intervals), pieces of information disappear and reappear (ticker, price, delta). Over time the separators disappear completely.

To Reproduce Happens every time I run the program regardless of window size or options.

Expected behavior Information should stay on the screen during refresh intervals.

Hi, I was wondering if I am the only one experiencing flickering on updates of the tickers list. I've just installed the package, and for demo purpose added AAPL,NET,TSLA tickers. I use tmux, could be this the source of the problem? I tested it on simple terminal, it works ok.

My os is ubuntu 20.04.

Can we make it possible to use the local currency that you have selected for your currency conversion to be used as the base unit cost for your lots with no conversion?

The reason for this is that if you put your unit cost in the .yaml as USD for an exchange and then use the currency conversion to display the unit cost and for your profit/loss calculation then the number will be incorrect relative to what you actually paid at the time you purchased your shares.

For example if you bought shares for X amount then that is the real number you want used for your profit/loss calc and to be shown as your unit cost in Ticker. But if you have your unit cost converted then the exchange rate will be different from when you originally purchased the shares and therefore show an incorrect profit/loss and unit cost relative to what you paid using the exchange rate on the date of purchase.

Not sure how difficult this would be to implement but basically what I am asking for is that whatever currency you have specified in your .yaml file, that is the currency that you use to enter your unit cost for your lots. That way it will not change due to fluctuation in the exchange rate over time.

I am not sure if this data is available through Yahoos API or not but would it be possible to add the Market Cap and Volume data to show when the --fundamentals flag is on? If this data is not available through the API that you use then we can just close this issue, just an idea that would give even more information on screen.

Hi, congrats on this very useful app. If I may add a feature suggestion, it would be the option of showing only the summary (total value, total change, total daily change) in a different currency, while leaving the currencies of the lots and watchlist in the relevant market currencies. I think this would leave the correct level of detail for the single lots (e.g. current price in the actual market), while giving the useful info of total value in the user's local currency. If I understand correctly, this is not the current behaviour, as all prices and cost (lots, watchlist) would be changed to the selected currency. Ideally, when other than the default USD, the summary line should show the currency symbol (EUR, CHF, AUD...). Thanks.

Problem Statement I have a white background on my terminal screen. Yes, black is traditional, but I find a white background easier to read. :) With a white background, the display of information in the UI is mostly unreadable, either being too light (greens, grays) or being inverted gray with lighter gray foreground coloring.

Proposed Solution I would like the ability to configure in the ticker.yml colors for both background and foreground of the various elements or of whichever styles are being used, including the background color of the whole UI (I wouldn't mind having a way to make the background black while keeping the default terminal background white).

Thanks for feedback and raising the issue with the colors not working. I've tested it and it does seem to be working on my end:

The color library used supports truecolor but if the terminal does not, it will down sample to the closest color support by the terminal. It is possible that colors in the custom scheme were close to the defaults and ended up being down sampled to the defaults based on the supported colors of the terminals.

From your screenshot I can see the greens/reds not standing out all that much. I'd suggest opening a new issue for that to keep it distinct from this one. I'll close this one for now but in case you're still not able to change the line or tag text color let me know and I'll have a second look.
