Switching presets with 8Face doesn't fully work for Quad Algorithmic Rhythm.

I checked & if you load a preset from the context menu on QAR it doesn't have this problem. Maybe I should log it as a bug for Stoermelder too!

One of the reasons I use 8face is I can map the preset switch to MIDI. I imagine I can map the scenes that way as well. But what 8Face does should work. It stores presets and uses Rack API to load the presets when you click a button. I haven't tried it but are you sure the same thing doesn't happen if you load a preset from a file in the context menu?

you could use 8face just to change the scene # ;)

and here is a preset manager built into the module, seems kinda silly not to use it

i'll look, but 8face is a nice hack, but a hack nonetheless

No not using scenes. Not got that far in the manual.

Switching presets with 8Face doesn't fully work for Quad Algorithmic Rhythm.

I am attaching a patch file, which illustrates the problem. There are two presets in the 8FACE. If you switch from the first to the second preset, the first Rhythm Channel (which is set to Manual) doesn't recall the trigger settings.

If you click on any of the beats in the first track, it brings the whole pattern back plus turning that beat on or off.

Seeds of change broken

After upgrading to the current release, Seeds of change is broken because of 2 serious problems. Seeds itself only processing the first gate and cv channels, the other 3 gate and cv channels just outputting 0V. The same for the expanders. Only the first (top) output is working. All other channels are not processed. In addition, having 2 expanders (cv or gate) , both generate the same random output, which should be different for every expander. Temporary rolled back to the previous release to keep my patches working and hope those issues will be fixed. Regards Dieter

QAR early onset

What you'll see in the attached video are three signal channels: (1) QAR playing Trummor. (2) Gate-Seq-64 playing Percussive Vibration. (3) The PCM Drum snare being triggered directly by Clocked. Clocked sends out a Reset on stop, but at the start of the video I click the Reset button manually, so that we'll know things have been reset. (The cables are invisible -- sorry. Clocked Reset goes to both QAR and Gate-Seq.)

QAR does indeed play a pulse immediately when I click Run on Clocked to start the playback -- but it sends that pulse from step 2 (which is empty), NOT from step 1. As a result, all of the devices start together, but from the 2nd quarter-note onwards, QAR is 1/16th ahead, because it started on 2, not on 1. The kick is no longer aligned with the snare and the beep.

As Antonio Tuzzi does in Squonk, the way to fix this (it seems to me) is not to start on step 1 but to start on step 0, which would be the same as the last step. early_qua_movie.zip

QAR early onset

Hi, as mentioned the reset works fine. If you look in documentation you will see there are two modes - a quick reset so you can do ratchetting and a hard reset to step 0.. Currently you need to hold the shift key down to do the hard reset (this works for both key and cv input). In next release I added a menu option to make the cv input default to either method

Please make the Div CV Inputs of Gardener usable

Hi Eric, Had a use case where I have to use the CV inputs for the div CV inputs. Recognized that it needs a CV of nearly 10.000V to get a div of 999. 10V just reaches div 2. So I have to use formula modules to multiply the incomming CV by 1000 to make the div inputs usable. I would really appreciate if when the attenuation of the div cv inputs is fully open that the CV is translated from 0V = 1 to 10V = 999. BTW. How does Gardener treats negative divs given by CV ?
