commit sha 18a827511aca8d84d0e93882e568bf83a48cde3e

(vim) Add leader command to show all commands Inspired by `<leader><leader>` from spacemacs, this will pop up a list of available commands in an fzf window. Ideally, this can help with discoverability.

Update README

+# GovernmentBillSummarizer++Use NLP to classify and summarize bills available through the [govinfo API](https://api.govinfo.gov/docs/).++## Using++To run program correctly, the program must be initialized by running `UserInterface.py`:++```bash+python UserInterface.py

Is this correct?

Since the README is now in the top-level directory and UserInterface.py is in Classifier sub-directory, I could update this to:

python Classifier/UserInterface.py

so it's more copy and pastable.

Update README

+# GovernmentBillSummarizer++Use NLP to classify and summarize bills available through the [govinfo API](https://api.govinfo.gov/docs/).++## Using++To run program correctly, the program must be initialized by running `UserInterface.py`:++```bash+python UserInterface.py+```++### Additional Notes++- For *package bills*, the government api sorts these by *upload date* and not issue date.++ If you are searching for a bill from a certain date, this will not find it, you must use general bills.++ General bills can be searched by bill issue/creation date.++- Some very large bills summaries take a few minutes to load, if it seems like the program hangs up, it is probably loading a summary so be patient.++- Some summaries have repeated sentences, this is a known issue, and is due to quirks in the .gov api.++- All folder's (train and test folder) must remain in their location. They must be in the working directory for the program to work as intended.++## Development++### Dependencies

This is out of scope of this PR, but we could investigate using something like requirements.txt to make it easier to install all dependencies.

I haven't written python in a while, so there may be a more modern option as well 🤷

issue openedtmr08c/tmr08c.github.io

Create smoke tests

After running into a fairly large issue (#111) from a patch dependabot version upgrade, it may be nice to consider having some basic tests in place to make dependency updates a bit safe.

Some potential test cases:

  • Home page
  • Blogs page lists blogs
  • Got a specific blog post, make sure something shows up

Concerns

  • The issue resolved in #111 seemed to only happen after a build. I would assume most tests run on a development server. It may be worth seeing if we could have tests that run on a built version of the site.

Renames things in 01-hello-async example (#2) When working on a post to write about this example, having `hello` for the name of the variable holding the instance and the name of the method made things a bit confusing. This commit creatively renames the method to `hello_method` and the `HelloAsync` instance to `hello_instance`.

Switches to `gatsby-remark-vscode` for code block rendering. (#83) This package can use VS Code themes to render code blocks that look like VS Code. This offers more options for themes, tends to look a bit nicer, and will probably be more familiar to most people. It also does it's work during the Gatsby compile step so it shouldn't slow down end-users. There are so pages where basic `bash` code fences don't look great; it may be worth trying more themes out. * Adds `gatsby-remark-vscode` * Adds `vscode-themes` package to use `Tomorrow` theme * Removes `gatsby-remark-prismjs`

commit sha cbfe281f2a798b525a10ebcfb4fd445ee4d755a0

Removed the warning message for double dependency in rails-controller-testing (#216) There was a warning message from `bundler` because `rails-controller-testing` was listed in both the `gemspec` and the Gemfiles for the test Rails apps. This removes the gem from the `gemspec`, favoring the test apps' Gemfiles as that is where the gem is leveraged.

Showing warning message for multiple for gem rails-controller-testing :building_construction: maintenance :hash:.:hash:.:hash: Patch

Hi Team,

when I cloned the gem and tried for bundle install, it shows the below error,

Your Gemfile lists the gem rails-controller-testing (>= 0) more than once. You should probably keep only one of them. Remove any duplicate entries and specify the gem only once (per group). While it's not a problem now, it could cause errors if you change the version of one of them later. Screen Shot 2020-06-27 at 11 52 49 AM

Please check if it is valid or please do discard.

Is skip_session_limitable? implemented/overridable?

Howdy We want to implement session_limitable, and turn it off for a subset of our users. The code in session_limitable.rb hints that you can override skip_session_limitable?, but so far we havent been able to get it to work, and the Google oracle doesnt provide any insight. We have been able to override update_unique_session_id! with our own code, so we think we're on the right track.

Is skip_session_limitable? indeed overridable?

Update posts to use tailwind typography :construction: site change
  • Adds Tailwind Typography plugin
    • This required updating tailwind (not as much as we need, but doesn't seem to hurt)
  • Update blog-post template to use prose classes to actually use Tailwind Typography
  • Remove post.css - Tailwind Typography gives us all the default styling we need
    • While cleaning this up, also found an old reference to some prismjs imports
  • When checking out the post styles, the width of the blog posts looked a bit off. I stole the classes used by the Tailwind blog for their main layout - this seems to allow for wider views, handles centering the page, and does some nice padding

TODO

Fixing blog styles

  • [ ] Review a handful of blog posts to see how styles like; update this list as we find more style issues

  • [ ] Fix margin/padding for post date - there's too much right now

  • [ ] Updates posts that use h4, it's not supported (splat vs. spread post is example)
