issue commentDataDog/datadog-serverless-functions

[Bug] Not every cloudwatch message is passed

After a while we have found that not all the logs are hitting Datadog. It was also quite hard to find why - datadog lambdas weren’t throwing any errors. Although after we found out that the issue is with such extremely long logs, then I’ve started to do some tests with both cloud watch and datadog lambda. The exact number was kind of a manual finding in the end.

chore: moved missing runtime deps

Moved devDependencies that are actually used during runtime. Lack of it causes apps that are using this library to fail due to missing dependencies. Without this fix it works on developer machine.

Haven't tested it that way (it failed when I deployed app to AWS Lambda) is to use npm install --production on app that uses dynamodb-onetable locally. I have verified (manually and on limited scope) that this change helps.

fix: wrong path to dist file

Sorry for late response:

  • It is not required for Node v14
  • Without this change it doesn't work on Node v12

I have checked locally and this change did not affect v14.

fix: wrong path to dist file

It turned out to be a problem with node v12.16.1 - in that version it was trying to load cjs. v14.16.0 it works properly.

Not sure how it worked a month ago, but right now when trying to run app through serverless it throws me an error that main is not found. Shouldn't this path be similar as in mjs case?
