Trackpoint module pointer jumping

@kareltucek Rewriting the PS/2 protocol parser in a blocking manner would hardly result in an improvement. PS/2 runs at a baud rate of 10 kHz to 16.7 kHz, and the KL03 MCU runs at 48 Mhz, so it's able to handle PS/2 without breaking a sweat. A busy loop would unnecessarily increase power consumption, and I'm confident that using interrupts is a better approach.

Can you reproduce the issue? If so, a logic analyzer would be very helpful, and we can purchase one for you.

Adaptive mode

@Alexmakes Adaptive mode is not a priority right now. For the time being, you can manually switch keymaps, like a Photoshop keymap. Currently, only functional backlighting is implemented, but if there's sufficient demand, we'll implement individually customizable per-key backlighting.

Wrong detection of ISO vs ANSI

@kareltucek Just committed aebe2080b135c38a198adb00fbf579dd7fa91be9, but always ISO gets detected, even after running agent/packages/usb/write-hardware-config.ts uhk60v2 ansi and power-cycling the UHK. Any ideas what's wrong?

Browser-based agent with webusb?

Actually that may be a better option than to support multiple OSes. Or a relatively simple addition to existing agents.

WebUSB allows browsers to communicate with USB devices, it's even possible to flash an Android phone through a webpage.

Browser-based agent with webusb?

We're well aware of WebUSB and considered it a while back, but Agent will become an (optional) background application providing advanced features, like cross-device communication, and Electron is much better suited for this purpose than a web application running in a browser. As for mobile, the UI is desktop-optimized, and it'd take a huge work to optimize it for mobile screens. I don't want to allocate extra resources for WebUSB for the time being.

Trackpoint module pointer jumping

I think the PS/2 protocol parser of the trackpoint is buggy which results in this issue.

You mean the code in trackpoint/src/module.c? Guess I will have a look then.

Yes, exactly, and a fix would be much appreciated!

Mouse lagging when multiple mouse devices are connected at the same time to the same usb controller

@pcooke9 This is a one-off issue, and it seems to be hardware-specific. Can you reproduce it without any hub and only via the USB 3.0 ports of your computer?

Trackpoint module pointer jumping

The trackpoint issue I know about is quite rare and only happens once every several hours or days. The issue demonstrated on the screencast is clearly a different issue.

@ewancoder Can you reproduce this issue on different computers? Can you see any related errors in the Windows device event log?

Two-action touchpad configuration?

I don't think about zooming as another navigation mode. I'd make pinch to zoom default to the mentioned shortcuts regardless of the layer used because per-layer pinch to zoom navigation modes would be rather overkill and probably not very useful.

I'd default to right-click for two-finger-tap on the firmware level.

Two-action touchpad configuration?

There's a touchpad-specific setting I can think of. The way I foresee it, the zoom and unzoom events will translate to ctrl+/- and cmd+/- on non-Mac vs Mac computers respectively. Maybe it'd be practical to emit both ctrl+ and cmd+ on zoom and both ctrl- and cmd- on unzoom events, but I'm not sure how well it'd work out. And there may be other module-specific settings that make practical sense that we can't think of yet.

Eventually, it may make practical sense to expose dedicated, module-specific configuration UIs via Agent, but in these early days, we can't be sure which settings make practical sense.

Using two action slots for the touchpad and defaulting the two-finger-tap slot to right-click make sense to me.
