Support .env file for configuration properties

I would like to see the .env file be used to setup development environment. These custom variables will be referred in my local development profile.

That would indeed be the ideal solution.

Support .env file for configuration properties

If so, where do you put secrets for test/production then (assuming a locally build app)?

Support .env file for configuration properties

I forgot that multiple profiles can be added to that property.

But well, in general the setup might be as follows:

application.properties
application-test.properties
application-production.properties

Now if each of the environments contains secrets that could be externalized into a .env file, it would result in something like:

.env.example #listing all values that should be configured by the user. should not be loaded by spring, and is commited.
.env #general secrets that are valid for all profiles
.env-test #profile specific values
.env-production #profile specific values

How would you tell spring to load first the .env, and then the profile-specific env?

Support .env file for configuration properties

If anyone's still interested in using .env as another properties file, for me it works by adding

# Development properties (also used for docker-compose)
spring.config.import=optional:file:.env[.properties]

into application.properties.

The [.properties] is a hint for spring which translates to "Use this file without an extension as a .properties file."

It would be create if this could work with spring.profiles.active to fetch the correct .env, like: `spring.config.import=optional:classpath:.env-${spring.profiles.active}[.properties]

Set defaults for spring.mvc.format.* properties

Okay, while I feel FormatStyle.SHORT is a rather bad default for date, at least it could maybe added to the metadata and docs for clarification? Would be nice!

Set defaults for spring.mvc.format.* properties

Why are there no default settings for spring.mvc.format.* properties?

I mean: spring is convention over configuration, but when I send a POST request and want spring to parse values like 2021-07-19 into a java.time.LocalDate or java.time.LocalDateTime field, I have to explicit op-in?

Please consider setting them to some reasonable values, like:

spring.mvc.format.date=iso
spring.mvc.format.time=HH:mm:ss

use official Vissmann API for ViCare component

What do we have to do in order to take advantage of the implementation switch? I mean, do we have to generate vissmann api keys, and add them the HA config somehow?

Release 3.0.12 has broken most of our templates due to #809

I really wonder why there is no mention of the alternatives. I ended up using with th:with like below

th:with="rptBy=${T(com.test.enum.ReportBy).BY_G1}"
th:data-groupby="${rptBy}"

I can encourage you using this quickfix for your broken definitions. I only had to use a bunch of it, and can now work again with the most recent version again.

New devices not discovered

Problem/Motivation

Both "enable newly added entities" and "track devices" is enabled. Anyways my new phone only shows up inside the unifi controller software, but not inside hassio.

Everything is running on the latest version.

What is strange: under "Network access controlled devices" in the integrations hassio unifi addon config, I actually can see my new devices listed. But not in HA devices or entities.

What could be done to track why no new devices are found?

use official Vissmann API for ViCare component

They are closing down the old API-Tokens on July 15th 2021

This will be the most important part for us! Will the module be migrated to the new api?

Support BooleanExpressions in Querydsl Web Support

Well but that would actually be just an enhancement of the querydsl supported syntax? Because right now ?firstname=John is mapped by spring to a querydsl Predicate that is translated to eq(John). So why not supporting the type of boolean check explicit in the parameter already?

Support BooleanExpressions in Querydsl Web Support

While simply queries like ?firstname=John&lastname=Doe are nice, I would even be better if simply boolean expressions could be used, eg:

?person.state=ne(2). So this should return all persons that are not in state = 2.

This could simply resemble to the existing com.querydsl.core.types.dsl.BooleanExpression from com.querydsl.core.BooleanBuilder,

Short date format (dd.mm.yy) missing day highlight

https://jsfiddle.net/72rn3xu6/4/

If you use format: "dd.mm.yy", and input manually eg "24.12.22", then the date of the datepicker is not highlighted. If you then leave the input (so calendar ui hides), and come back clicking the input to show the ui, the day is still not highlighted.

In constrast, if you input "24.12.2022", then the correct day is highlighted. Which is strange because it contradicts the format. Then, if you tab out, the date is automatically shortened to "24.12.22" by datepicker, but keeps the correct day highlighted.

Very strange. Using latest version 1.9.0.
