Transitions don't work on table row addition

Specifically with sliding a <tr> into view... I'd suggest the same: set it to display: block or even wrap it in a <div> and apply the slide transition to that wrapping element. Like this REPL.

Transitions don't work on table row addition

This won't be limited to Table Rows, pretty confident this will be the case on any element that doesn't have a block-level display property... For instance, span and img elements are set to display: inline by default.

You can see the same behavior described above happening with those elements this REPL. If (on line 43) you change the span element's display property to block inline-block or even flex, grid, or any other block-ish layout, the transition works as expected.

A possible developer warning (I imagine) would only need to be something along the lines of: "The slide transition animates the height of an element. That being said, it will only work properly with block-level elements: those that can accept a height within document flow."

minor revision to docs

I noticed a few slight discrepancies in the docs. This just a slight reordering of content for media element bindings and having it matched in the code snippet.

Tiny suggestion: REPL introduction instead of basic Hello World

It could be helpful to give users (especially new ones) more details about using the REPL. However, I really appreciate how straightforward the code editor itself is. I wouldn't want any additional files or extra details to delete from within the REPL itself.

Instead, I wonder if some version of an Intro text for the REPL elaborating on the UI and its options might be better suited elsewhere on the site: as a longer blog post, part of the FAQs, or even adding something like an Info button to the App Controls.

Variable toggled during transition doesn't update from within {#if}

@antony: it is similar, but the outrostart event is definitely firing. {status} outside the {#if} statement updates. But since {#if} is false it seems to prevent the contents within that block from re-rendering?

@kuhlaid: outrostart should be toggling the class directive on line 20 for .card.hidden

A way to delete saved REPLs

I agree, the option to delete (or at least remove them from my own list) would be fantastic. I've accidentally hit save on the Hello World REPL an embarrassing number of times...

That being said maybe the Delete action would have some type of prompt in place: a kind of "ARE YOU SURE?" message.

Variable toggled during transition doesn't update from within {#if}

Description

A variable that's toggled on a transition event within an {#if} statement falls out of sync.

  • Within an {#if} statement, I have an element with transition:fade.
  • There are several transition events firing on this element to update a variable while the element is transitioning.
  • These variables update outside the {#if} statement, but appear out sync within it.

To Reproduce

Here it is inside of a REPL

Expected behavior

Given the class directive on line 20 of the REPL and the status message on line 24, I expect there to be a red background on the element while it is transitioning out. I also expect for status to remain in sync / never to read as both true and false.

Lightbox on Audio Block / Pointer Events

Hello, I was just messing around with some audio files and noticed I couldn't scrub through them with the lightbox open...

Steps to replicate

  1. Open the Lightbox for any Block with an audio file. Here's one
  2. Click the play and start playback on the audio element.
  3. Interact with playback progress or volume controls.

Expected result

Progress or volume for the audio element should update accordingly.

Actual result

You're dragging on the wrapping link to the file.

Here's a screen recording of this issue happening on a desktop in Chrome: audio-element-v2

Similar behavior in Firefox and Safari. FWIW: In Safari clicking play on the audio element starts playback in the lightbox and also opens up the AWS link in a new tab where it also starts playing too. (Double audio playback). Haven't looked on mobile / App.
