Bottom Sheet moves up along with Keyboard in Android and not iOS

if you're using the expo managed workflow then in sdk 38 (soon to be released) you will be able to toggle between the android:windowSoftInputMode adjustPan and adjustResize in app.json as described and implemented in this pr expo/expo#8842

Thank you.

Oh now I see your issue. You have an access issue, you should create a new issue as this has nothing to do with that.

I did read people have issues with sms.

I use pw login, just google Ive seen the answers to using sms all over google last month.

expo-location returns bad reversed geocode

🐛 Bug Report

Summary of Issue (just a few sentences)

iOS native geo coding simply sucks

[

    "isoCountryCode": "VC",

iOS & Android

Reproducible Demo

import * as Location from 'expo-location';
import axios from 'axios';

const
	geocode = await Location.reverseGeocodeAsync({ 13.144106416923435, -61.20818272233009 })
;
const result = await axios
	.get('https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode/json', {
		params: {
			latlng: 13.144106416923435 + ',' + -61.20818272233009,
			key: 'xxx',
		}
	})
;
if(result) {
	console.log('expo result', geocode);
	console.log('axios result', result.data);
}

Steps to Reproduce

  • Simply run the code above, run a geocode from android and then run one from iOS, the iOS has a ridiculously less accurate result.

Expected Behavior vs Actual Behavior

The iOS geocoding is super inaccurate

If we can simply have a function that turns on iOS to use google maps geocoding it will solve this issue.

Google returns the correct information.

  1. The geocode result (expo -> Location.reverseGeocodeAsync) is always of 1 length.

  2. The geocode is returning the LAST result

[
  Object {
    "city": null,
    "country": "Saint Vincent and the Grenadines",
    "isoCountryCode": "VC",
    "name": "Saint Vincent and the Grenadines",
    "postalCode": null,
    "region": "Saint Vincent and the Grenadines",
    "street": null,
  },
]

I think the function needs a smarter loop.

		const
			geocode = await getGeocodeAsync({ 13.144106416923435, -61.20818272233009 })
		;
		const result = await axios
			.get('https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode/json', {
				params: {
					latlng: 13.144106416923435 + ',' + -61.20818272233009,
					key: 'AIzaSyB74-h8Z5FuGApHahSkXwC5UKHnvyKmug8',
				}
			})
		;
		if(result) {
			console.log('expo result', geocode);
			console.log('axios result', result.data);
		}

Bottom Sheet moves up along with Keyboard in Android and not iOS

Thanks @karimcambridge ! Now it's perfect. With minHeight: hp('100%') for my screen Container (minHeight in my case) 🙏🏽

Glad we can help each other. You've completed my app with the patch you posted earlier.

I'll be notifing the repo owner about these fixes and issues by email so hopefully when he has some time everyone can enjoy these fixes smoothly.

That should work.

I use https://github.com/marudy/react-native-responsive-screen so using height: hp('100%'); is enough for me.

@stachu2k, if it's still relevant try using the patched version I posted in #136 . It puts all my open/close events in order. The code is also available via this gist ReanimatedBottomSheet_patched.js.

Reverse geocode returns null city

I also have issues where in my country, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, expo is just returning the country name in region, city and country but in ANY other reverse geocoder online, it is returning the correct names?

Can the expo geocoder get an update?

In your code, you have your bottom sheet in a parent view right

You have to use height there too and in the render content

Okay so maybe the documentation does say we need to use WSL or have it enabled or something.

issue commentosdnk/react-native-reanimated-bottom-sheet

Fix enabledContentGestureInteraction with selectable <ScrollView>

Hey @Xadinsx, @SocialBrothersDEV actually gave us the key.

I literally just fixed it. So I was using onPress from List.Item in react-native-paper but what I do now is use Platform.select outside of my react function and select the native-native TouchableOpacity if ios, else if android select the gesture-handler one!

It works great on android and I am waiting on my tester to tell me the result of iOS.

import React, { useState } from 'react';
import { Platform, StyleSheet, TouchableOpacity as TouchableOpacityNative } from 'react-native';
import { List } from 'react-native-paper';
import { TouchableOpacity as TouchableOpacityGesture } from 'react-native-gesture-handler';

const
	TouchableComponent = Platform.select({ // workaround for reanimated-bottom-sheet
        ios: TouchableOpacityNative,
        android: TouchableOpacityGesture,
	});
;

const LocationItem = props => {
	return (
		<TouchableComponent
			onPress={onLocationSelected}
		>
			<List.Item
				style={styles.listItem}
			/>
		</TouchableComponent>
	);
};

Thank you @SocialBrothersDEV! Just some minor information like that can solve a persons' horrors.
