Sort fails on date-like values with links

Thanks @blacksmithgu! I think date(last-reviewed) is fine for my case since these actually do represent dates.

That said, the files are all in the same folder, so I'll leave this open.

Sort fails on

Describe the bug

Sorting on a field which includes links does not appear to be working correctly.

To Reproduce

I've got a directory named "Choro Rep" and all the files in it have a last-reviewed field, e.g.

last-reviewed:: [[2021-10-18]]

And here is a dataview query sorted by last-reviewed desc e.g.

table
  last-reviewed as "Last Reviewed",
  status as "Status",
  composer as "Composer"
from "Choro Rep"
sort last-reviewed desc

Expected behavior

The results should sort by the last-reviewed date e.g. the dates in the screenshot should be

2021-10-15
2021-10-09
2021-09-20
2021-09-04
2021-09-04

Screenshots

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Mac OS 10.5.2
  • Obsidian Version 0.12.15
  • Dataview Version 0.4.18

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

  • Device: iPhone 12
  • OS: iOS14.8
  • Obsidian Version 1.0.4
  • Dataview Version 0.4.18

Additional context

  • This worked as expected with Dataview 0.4.5. I'm not sure at which version it stopped working as expected.
  • I realize I'm dealing with text strings that represent dates, but I'm not expecting Dataview to recognize that, the string "2021-10-15" should precede the string "2021-10-09" in a descending sort.

Please include a changelog

Describe the problem

When I see that there is a new version, I'd like to know what changes I should expect before I update to it.

Describe the solution you'd like

A changelog, either in the README, or in another file at the root of this repo (so we can see it in the file listing).
