I'm running the plugin on HOOBS. I've also run the command npm rebuild @tensorflow/tfjs-node build-addon-from-source to rebuild Tensorflow, but nothing changed. Any clue of what's going on @beele ? Here the output:

HB won't start after install

Describe the bug After installing this plugin via Config UI X, Homebridge repeatedly crashes during startup.

Specifications What hardware and OS is your Homebridge running on?
Mac OS Homebridge 1.2.0b33 (any issues with current beta?)

What Unifi hardware are you using CKG2+ Flex-G3 camera

In case you have issues with streaming via FFMpeg, have you tried with https://www.npmjs.com/package/homebridge-camera-ffmpeg first, if not, do this first!
Will try

Logging Debug is not showing any additional information. I can't even see the plugin loading in logs.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior: I have checked that

  • Canvas is installed
  • RTSP is enabled on the camera
  • Snapshot is enabled on the camera
  • Camera is fully working via UI Protect

Additional context My homebridge install is otherwise stable and has been for many months. The Unifi camera is new, but is otherwise working perfectly. Is there any reason to suspect issues with the HB beta and this plugin?

FFMPEG streaming issues

@BadgerBadgerAndFox I see the same thing, I have had beta 5 running for two weeks without issue. @janthony6 @JJJ You guys are using the plugin with Unifi OS? It might be some rate limiting going on. Could you enable the debug and post the log output when the issue occurs?

Hmmm, I don't see that same behaviour. Does your system use Unifi OS? Is there anything in the logs? I'm leaving on holiday for a week so I would suggest rolling back to 0.4.2 for the time being. I'll look into this further when I get back.

Feature: send to MQTT

An awesome feature would be to send to a MQTT topic when there is an event and even better would be what the enhanced detection thinks is there. Then I could do all kinds of actions and such off of this message.

I have a fix for that issue coming up, the strange thing is that I don't get that error. Are any of your cameras off (or disconnected, or....). I have one camera that is mostly off but I still get a snapshot from the protect url (be it an older image off when it was last on and queried for a snapshot)

FFMPEG streaming issues

@hjdhjd I already have the option in the code (that was producing the issue)

  videoConfigCopy.source = '-re -rtsp_transport tcp -i ' + config.unifi.controller_rtsp + '/' + Unifi.pickHighestQualityAlias(cameraConfig.camera.streams);

On LTE it requests a stream of: Starting video stream: 640x360, 30 fps, 132 kbps

On WiFi it requests a stream of: Starting video stream: 1280x720, 30 fps, 299 kbps

The RTSP from the cameras is 3000kbps at FHD at 15FPS.

FFMPEG streaming issues

I think most issues have been resolved by this, thx again to @hjdhjd for the helpful insights. However I noticed I'm no longer able to stream when not on my local wifi, the video just never starts. If I change the vcodec back to 'h264_omx' from the previous 'copy' value it starts working again. @hjdhjd any ideas as to why this might be?

Streaming Taking Long Time to Start

If you start homebridge, the plugin should print out the path of the ffmpeg binary that is being used. Can you confirm this is using your compiled version. Also the latest beta: homebridge-unifi-protect-camera-motion@0.4.3-beta.3 has some changes in the way video & snapshots are handled. sudo npm i -g homebridge-unifi-protect-camera-motion@0.4.3-beta.3

Added ability to specify the pixel format that is to be used

@Sunoo I was going over the code from Unifi Protect 2 and came across this: https://github.com/hjdhjd/homebridge-unifi-protect2/blob/772c6401f2923f950a50d5363b8a428c5b795a1a/src/protect-stream.ts#L247 Where it states that the one being used in this plugin is deprecated. I though it might be handy to have the option to specify it. I'm by no means an expert in pixel formats, so if this is unnecessary feel free to reject the PR ;)

General Discussion

Once you have the keys, is it possible to remove the devices from the tuya app and keep using them with this project?

Payload returns nulls

I have a device that returns these null values (an LSC ceiling light), but with the code like above I never get the second 'Data from device' line with actual correct information, I also cannot control the device. Is there any way to debug this? The tuya application can control the device fine.

Unable to load plugin after update

@alezanott can you try with the latest beta, login on hoobs, open a terminal and execute: sudo npm i homebridge-unifi-protect-camera-motion@0.4.2-beta.9 --unsafe-perm=true I've formatted a backup pi with hoobs and after some trial and error got it running (hopefully I did not break it for non hoobs installs :/)

HB won't start after install

Hmm this seems really weird => Illegal instruction: 4 which is something, if coming from my plugin, which I've never seen before.

commit sha 87e21dc45f3b2b7f67b1074fa53f6602ee1a7ba7

Fixed some more issues - Camera ips are now updated at startup - Reimplemented network logic for the new node-fetch logic - Accessories that are unregistered are also no longer used to init motion detection (previously these would only not be used after a second reboot of homebridge)

Make a basic config.json file with only this plugin configured. Place that file in a folder you remember. Open a terminal and execute: homebridge -D -U FULL_PATH_TO_FOLDER/ This should run a new homebridge instance using the config from that folder
