No problem 👍. Yes it is a recent feature, and I fully understand your position.

How to enable auto layout

Ah, thank you for the clarification Simon. That actually looks quite manageable in terms of implementation.

How to enable auto layout

Are you saying that you would like automatic layouts to be applied via the API? Is this possible?

There's an enableAutomaticLayout() method on the Java version of the View class that sets a property called automaticLayout ... it's just an object with a few properties. This is used by the web-based rendering engine, which subsequently uses this information to initiate the auto-layout algorithm, so the Python client library doesn't need to implement any auto-layout algorithms itself. Hope that helps!

How to enable auto layout

Hey @falko-burghausen,

My own workflow has typically been to create a workspace, upload it, and then use the workspace editor interface to layout diagrams with a mix of auto and manual layouts. Are you saying that you would like automatic layouts to be applied via the API? Is this possible?

Add support for the group element in C4 DSL

Hi @geirive,

Thank you for reporting this missing feature. As far as I know, this is a very recent feature of structurizr. So I think we would first work more basic missing features. Unless you are able to work on this yourself? I'd be happy to discuss how to approach this and review any code submissions.

Add support for the group element in C4 DSL

Checklist

<!-- Please make sure you check all these items before submitting your feature request. -->

Is your feature related to a problem? Please describe it.

I want to model an architecture with several different stakeholders in a partnership, and wanted to group components provided from/developed by each partner.

Describe the solution you would like.

An implementation of the group elemement (see dsl language reference)

Describe alternatives you considered

I can make use of the DSL or maintain "manual" diagrams for the landscape and potentially context level.

Additional context

Example can be rendered at https://structurizr.com/dsl demo site.
