I did use lsb_release to check and it was 19.04, found out via 404 on apt update.

I tried FROM gitpod/workspace-full:latest giving me https://olive-wolf-3wod6krn.ws-eu16.gitpod.io/ as workspace but same 19.04.

Upgrade from Ubuntu Disco 19.04 (end-of-life) to Ubuntu Eoan 19.10 or Ubuntu Focal 20.04 LTS

Has this been fixed? I just tried https://www.gitpod.io/docs/languages/r/ which relies on FROM gitpod/workspace-full itself still seems to be on 19.04

For people familiar with Docker/Ubuntu/Gitpod/Github that's trivial to fix but for newcomers it feels like a long way down to understand why some of their packages can't get installed.

Work out of the box even without reading the documentation

Seems to work but only works for the Google Drive version.

Very nice, python3 -m pip install plenopticam==0.8.2 worked instantly. No need to downgrade to 3.8 nor use Docker. Thanks for such prompt fix and for your research!

In case anybody unfamiliar with Docker/podman needs this :

Dockerfile :

FROM scipy/scipy-dev
RUN python3.8 -m pip install scikit-image
RUN python3.8 -m pip install plenopticam
RUN plenopticam -h

then build it with docker build . -t pleno and start with docker run -it --rm pleno. If you need to share a local directory check the documentation on volumes.

Note of caution, this is headless so -g will not work.

Unable to solve dependencies on latest Ubuntu

Hi, I'm trying to setup in order to test Lytro content on the LookingGlass Portrait. I tried python3 -m pip install plenopticam but ended up in dependency hell. After a bit of search I decided to use pyenv to rollback from Python 3.9 to 3.8 as apparently scipy had problem with it (no package yet). That ended up solving this part but then few more dependencies were still missing, namely sciki-image, which was fine, but also tk-tkinter which I didn't manage to solve :

  File "/home/fabien/.pyenv/versions/3.8.12/lib/python3.8/tkinter/__init__.py", line 36, in <module>
import _tkinter # If this fails your Python may not be configured for Tk

As it gets a bit hairy trying to mix pyenv and system wide setups e.g sudo apt install python3-tk tk-dev I'm wondering if a dockerfile wouldn't simplify. What I did for now was :

docker run -it --rm scipy/scipy-dev
python3.8 -m pip install scikit-image
python3.8 -m pip install plenopticam
plenopticam -h

which worked. The -q option on 0.8.1 gave me option -q not recognized.

Ill trypython3 ~/Prototypes/youtube-local/server.py 2> /dev/null` then and if everything works for few days I'll close this after, if you want, modifying the readme to suggest it.

I started it with stdout ... and (of course) can't reproduce it right despite opening a dozen of channels. I can try logging from cron if it helps.

Consequently deleting code without implore/swear statements could be safer is the code was to matched previously deleted code stored in a publicly available repository.

Indeed the zigbee-adapter add-on does work. I recommend you check its mqtt optional feature in case some of your hardware is not fully supported as-in.

Pulling in @flatsiedatsie as this seeems serious. If the main platform the add-on is for, WebThings, is not compatible anymore might be important to check either a patch here or upstream.

Indeed I checked while writing this because I also had nvmrc and couldn't remember if it was due to my own tinkering or WebThings. I see that https://github.com/WebThingsIO/gateway/blob/v1.1.X/.nvmrc it pines node 10 so now I'm wondering if a dependency of this add-on has been deprecated and thus doesn't work with WebThings anymore.

Did you reboot your machine in June and did before that you had manually setup node to be a newer version than v10.23.0?

According to your log there is a "/home/pi/.nvm/" directory which might indicates multiple and potentially conflicting version of node.

@zpeterg thanks. FWIW I was missing either udev rules for my user or libu2f-host but now it is working. I installed via pip after adding via apk pcscd and all necessary build dependencies (all the way to Rust and Cargo for crypo).
