Interesting! Looks like he added drakorindofilms.cc###fixedban, .iklan, center:has([width="500"][height="80"]).

My guess is that this is equivalent to drakorindofilms.cc###fixedban:has([width="500"][height="80"]), .iklan:has([width="500"][height="80"]), center:has([width="500"][height="80"])

We probably need to split that into multiple filters.

That site hurts my eyes a bit ; )

Here's the filters you need.

! floating bottom banner
drakorindofilms.cc###fixedban

! inline homepage top ad banners
drakorindofilms.cc##li:has(.iklan)

! inline article bottom ad banners
drakorindofilms.cc##center:has([width="500"][height="80"])

The list owner will see this ticket and can decide if he wants to add these to the official list. In the meantime, you can put these in your "My filters" section of your Ad Blocker.

Capability to increase volume more than 100%

I stumbled across this while google searching how to get the volume above 100%. After seeing it suggested in this thread, I used the properties -> volume -> enter custom volume trick mentioned above, which worked fine for me.

To make custom volume easier to find, may I suggest adding it to the right click menu? You could add an option in this menu called "Custom Level" or something, and clicking on it just opens the properties tab and scrolls down to volume.

This less specific one works, but there's a second problem of a large whitespace above it.

Tab character

I use tab instead of 4 spaces. When I copy/paste my code from my IDE into NASM, tab characters are 6.5 spaces wide. When I hit tab within the program, it inserts 4 spaces. So the code's indentation looks a little strange.

image

Suggested Fix: Consider having tab use tab character (ASCII 9) instead of 4 spaces. Or consider having tab character display as 4 characters wide.

Thanks for using the list, and for reporting an issue. I'm glad the list is getting some use : )

It looks like that filter breaks the notification bell, so that's not good.

My original reason for adding it is that, for me, it pops open that notification bubble when I load my homepage, without me clicking on anything.

I removed the filter for now. If you can think of a good replacement filter, feel free to post!

Also, having Ghidra comment the interrupts based on a list is also an option. This is what IDA used to do. This could be a good band-aid solution if the above is too time consuming to implement right away.

Better decompilation of DOS era interrupts

Thanks for the detailed comments. I'm not advanced enough to write Ghidra code to improve the decompilation of these DOS era interrupts myself.

But if somebody else wrote the engine, I'd be happy to write the data. That is, I could help translate the list of interrupts from one of these websites, into whatever data file or object we need for our code.

Looks like it's fairly complicated. Even a simple interrupt like INT 21h, AH=30h, getDosVersion() has the following complex features:

  • multiple inputs
  • multiple outputs
  • output behavior varies depending on DOS version
  • one output is "rare", without further details given

image

We can ignore a lot of that complexity and, in the beginning, focus on providing the most common use cases. Then we can let open source/crowdsourcing kick in and people can come along and improve it, as needed.

Here's a rough draft of a schema we could use for our data file/data object.

image

Maybe @agatti would be interested in expanding his engine to accept a data file/object, and we could add interrupts to the data file over time.

Anyway, just throwing some ideas out there.

Debugger stuck on when antivirus deletes binary

OS = Windows.

I clicked Debug -> Start. My antivirus detected the executable as a virus and quarantined it. After, SASM is stuck in debug mode, with no way to stop debug mode and try again. Pressing the continue button doesn't do anything.

Workaround: Restart the program.

Suggested fix: When the "continue" button is pressed, have the program check if the binary file (or thread/process) still exists. If not, automatically stop the debugging.

eurogamer.net - AdGuard Annoyances exception filter #@# is protecting a cookie modal

Alright, I'm comfortable recommending the above filter (eurogamer.net##.onetrust-pc-dark-filter, #onetrust-banner-sdk). It blocks the cookie modal.

The videos are still "blocked", in the sense that the website requires you to accept cookies before it will display them. But you can just click "Cookies Settings", then "Allow All Cookies", and that activates the videos just fine. It is not affected by the above filter.

If somebody wants to look into writing a ##+js(set, ) type filter, that could be a good workaround too.

I wrote this filter

The filter I wrote didn't work. The following AdGuard Annoyances exception filter is overriding my filter.

Related #56372. I guess this exception filter was originally written to fix a video player? Strange that a video player is included in a "consent SDK". Consent makes it sound like it's purely used for cookie notices.

If you keep the exception filter for #onetrust-consent-sdk, and want to block the cookie notice, it has 2 children that need to be blocked: .onetrust-pc-dark-filter and #onetrust-banner-sdk

youtube.com###chips-wrapper:style(position: static !important;)
youtube.com##ytd-feed-filter-chip-bar-renderer:style(margin-bottom: 0 !important;)

! I added a generic element. This element is common in WordPress control panels that have the popular plugin WPForms installed. It is a giant float on the bottom right that doesn't need to be there. All of these links can be found on regular pages.
