Disable background color setting

I indeed tried it (sorry for the late reply), and there's no change in behaviour.

if (has("autocmd") && !has("gui_running"))
        augroup colorset
                autocmd!
                let s:white = { "gui": "#ABB2BF", "cterm": 145, "cterm16": "7" }
                autocmd ColorScheme * call onedark#set_highlight("Normal", { "fg": s:white })
        augroup END
endif

Color contrast issue with text-grey

The text-grey color helper is really light, and doesn't bode well with a white background. Would it be possible to darken it?

Split conflict solver view into different windows

Problem description

I'm a heavy user of bspwm and other tiling window managers, and using three different-size screens to work. Configuring them as ultrawide is a headache but managing one window on each of them is a breeze.

The issue I think currently lies with the conflict solver is that the three code views are packed in one single window (the main SMerge window), making it impractical to micro-manage the three code editors.

Preferred solution

What I think would be ideal would be to be able to "pop up" the left and right text editors ("Commit xxx on yyy" and "Theirs") into their own minimalistic separate windows (the current label, and the code section, typically, would be way enough for me).

Alternatives

Alternatively, allowing a top-mid-bot layout instead of a left-mid-right layout would play a bit more nicely with long LOCs.

debian packaging

I have never done any Debian packaging before, nor do I intend to do any in the short term, sadly, partly because I burned out a bit.

As for CLI mail clients, I'd be inclined to try mimedown in aerc, which is the main email client I use.

At some point I'm gonna get around debian packaging, if I end up doing so before you then I'll use this project as test project to package then

debian packaging

Hello! I discovered your tool through your blog and really like it!

I was wondering if we could imagine a debian package on some repository soon? It would be really useful!

conky uses the curl command under the hood. However, I cannot test it before tomorrow, as I left work, where my conky setup is present.

Remove extra line return on custom one-line formatting

» curl 'wttr.in/Nice?format=a\nb'
a
b

Works as expected.

I did try using format=%C+%t\n, but it completely stripped the %t formatting flag.

curl 'wttr.in/Nice?format=%C+%t\n'
Partly cloudy

Hhm, having two options feel a bit clunky and ambigous, imho.

Better stay with one, I'd say

Makes sense.

I would be more favorable for the python-3-style added parameter, imho.

I don't really know how to feel with adding a character that would represent "not a newline", since It would add the need for escaping in case you want to use this given character (e.g. the , could be used).

Would adding \n as opt-in new line work?

Remove extra line return on custom one-line formatting

Right now, by fetching output using a custom one-line formatting (e.g. http://wttr.in/Nice?format=%C+%t), it adds a new line character at end of output, which makes it pretty annoying to use in tools like Conky, as it'll always add an empty line, e.g. ${curl http://wttr.in/Nice?format=%C+%t}.

Wouldn't it be possible to avoid this newline, or make it opt-in/opt-out?

Disable background color setting

Indeed...

On kitty (with transparent shell, neovim being the only one to display an opaque background) myself.

Using this in neovim doesn't disable anything (used below the colorscheme onedark config rule).
